Our language training programmes aim to match the needs of our clients and therefore no two courses are the same. Whatever the level of ability and degree of specialism, every course is tailor-made to precise commercial objectives and language targets. Emphasis within the course is on understanding and communication.

All of our group and individual courses are designed to accommodate the busy and often unpredictable work schedules of our clients. Tutorials for our one-to-one courses are arranged week by week between the client and the tutor to offer maximum flexibility. Integral to our continuing group courses is the issuing of worksheets in preparation for each next tutorial. This assures that all participants can adequately prepare for tutorials and do not fall behind should they need to miss a tutorial.

Our method is highly practical. All of our course participants, from beginner to advanced level, develop their language skills in the context of relevant and real-life commercial situations. Training focuses on key business communication skills such as presenting information, taking part actively in meetings and conducting business on the telephone.

Prior to the start of any programme each participant is assessed for existing language ability and language needs as a guide to course design and student groupings.

We work closely together with the Training Department of our client companies. To keep the client informed about all aspects of the continuing language training programme we provide regular attendance and progress reports at agreed intervals.

All courses can be run on client's company premises or at one of our centres.

Full use is made of all modern teaching aids such as audio cassettes, video films and computer programmes. These are used to enliven the lessons and to bring the country into classroom. We use what is most suited to the individual and the course requirement. The main materials vary depending on the level of the language. They include textbooks or handouts or a combination of both. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is available and is used by agreement.

Careful monitoring, through regular observation of training sessions and formal progress testing, ensures that every course is targeted to the objectives identified in the language needs analysis.

We recommend that all participants target nationally recognised qualifications as part of their language training programme. Typical awards are those from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). Also, we are now able to offer the new National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Units in languages at Levels 1,2 and 3. We are recognised as an approved centre by LCCI and the Institute of Linguists.

We arrange and process all entries to the certification scheme, starting with assessments, through to candidates' course reports, applications to the Examination Boards and the issuing of certificates.
